India won the world cup Fair and Square! They defeated the 3 best teams in the competition comprehensively. Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Australia. So they obviously proved themselves that they are the true world champions!
But why oh why some ppl still taking aback to give the credit they thoroughly deserve?
Some say that India has never won a test series in Australia and South Africa.
But does that have something to do with the world title?
Australia won the world cup in 1999 and 2003. But did you know that when they won the world cup in 2003 they had never won a single One Day series against Sri lanka in Sri Lanka! They won their very first ODI series in Sri Lanka on 2004. Nobody said that the Aussies were not the true world champions when they won the world title in 1999 and 2003, just bcz they hadn’t won a ODI series in Sri Lanka!
Come on mates let’s give the respect the Indian’s deserve. They are the world champions! They have worked really hard to achieve that. See the way they chased down 260 in the Q/Final against the Aussie mates. When they lost the wicket of Dhoni it looked like as if the match was gonna turn in Australia’s favor. I was jumping for joy bcz I didn’t want India to meet us in the final! I knew that then it would be really hard for the Sri lankans to defeat India in india in the final. Australia would have been a much easier opponent comparison to India. But the India still won the Q/final after one hell of a match up! Then they defeated Pakistan and then still chased down 275 after losing their biggest star players, Sachin and Sewag early.
Still some idiots asking what happened to Malinga’s yorkers in the final. They should realize that it was just not Malinga’s day and that’s the way things go in cricket. Sri lankan’s worked hard but just not quite good enough on that particular day and that was it!
Indians won under tremendous pressure and they thoroughly deserve to be the World Champions!!! Let’s admit the truth and give the credit where it’s due.
So do you give them the credit, the respect India deserves?

Entire world knows India is true champion now, they have earned it.
Its just a few jealous trolls jingling around YA!, dont care about them.

India won the ODI WC and were deserved winners. This has been said before. What’s the problem.
The constant bombardment of racial attacks by many Indian members towards Australian’s and other nationalities wears thin. Until the day that this stops happening in the cricket section, most Australian’s and many from other cricketing countries will not have much respect for the people you are referring to. You get what you give. If you are nice, generally others are nice to you, if you are nasty then generally people will be nasty back.
Edit: Be that as it may Dinith, Indian’s make up the Indian cricket team. If Indian members continually racially attack Australian members and the Australian team (past and present) then no respect for a team containing Indians will be shown. When more than 2 Indian members on this forum start showing any respect at all for Australian’s, then they can expect their team to get respected a bit more.
Edit: Straight Drive – I am not blind. I do see some stuff from Australian members who insult Indian members such as the member you name. He is certainly the worst at racially attacking Indian people, but even with him most of the time it is in retaliation to Anti Australian posts. Just like another user with a dog as his avatar, sometimes he writes nasty things about Indian people, but with him it is always in retaliation to an Anti-Australian thing. I have occasionally said stuff that could be considered Anti Indian, but it is always to an Anti-Australian questions asked by an Indian member. I hate all Anti anyone stuff on here. It is ultimately a cricket questions and answers forum, but the vast majority of it is taken up by nonsense questions insulting Australia, insulting India, insulting Pakistan, insulting Sri Lanka etc and needs to be stopped. I do my bit where I can to get rid of members who do nothing but insult other races. I do not have any probably with members who contribute effectively but occasionally answer an anti some race question in a nasty way. It is human nature that if someone attacks or insults you, you attack or insult back. Trolling by all members needs to stop as does this nonsense of racially attacking people and having numerous accounts. Australia is a good place and most people who come here will agree, India also is a good place if you are an Indian and many non Indian people will say it is as well, I have never been to Pakistan so I can’t really comment from experience, all the other countries who are on the receiving end of racial attacks are also good places for the people who live there and many visitors will also say they are good places. Why should a few isolated incidents that most people in the country are horrified about make every person of that race awful people? It shouldn’t.
Not real world people but only some Y trolls wants to take it back.

You can attack trolls no matter whoever they are, Indians or Aussies but if you start attacking genuine users like this, then believe me these countable users will also vanish and there would be no more interest in this section. Believe me, I have never reported your posts though all of them are anti Indians because I can understand that’s your reaction against the Indian trolls. Have a look at the genuine Indian users here, though they have some indifference with Aussie genuine users like Joeblow, Jinxie or Bingalee, they never attack them racially. Oh! but why am I saying all this to you? You are just another troll.

@Joeblow–I think if Australians will start acknowledging Indian cricket achievements, most of the trolling will stop..

Sometimes you have to act smart, if you think you are smart.
I have the utmost respect for India and what they have achieved as a side. They are a fine side in all formats and under Dhoni’s astute leadership they have risen to No.1 in the test rankings and won the World Cup.
What I have less respect for are the majority of Indian users of this section. Their trolling/racist behaviour is a disgrace and brings no credit to themselves or their team. There are some good Indian users too and other nations are also guilty of poor behaviour I would also add.
Dinith its a start & we know our team is on d right path and once they start winning universally, which is slowly happening people will come around. Did earlier champs care who respected or shunted them but it would be nice to know that champions are accepted around amicably.
There is jealoulsy towards Asian might, d underdogs, ruled by former powerhouses, whose officials find it difficult to digest d new directives, coming their way from d former underdogs, at least in cricket, rest they still take care of us, where ever they need to but d day isn’t far when that would also disappear.
Who cares about small bunch of nobodies, who sit at home & write what they like, casue they can’t even move a leaf, let alone a board or team. Carry on hating & keep on getting d same in return. Your team is no more d world beater, it will hit d rock bottom soon. Your swagger & chip on d shoulders would disappear deep down d occeans, like West Indian’s did long ago, after a period of being top of d tree. Look where they are now & recent former champs will follow them there too, as that great team won’t happen so fast.This generation brought on unending victories, will get old & wrinkley before they see anything like that ever again, if they are lucky to see that happening in their life time. By then they won’t be watching cricket, they’ll be busy with paying retired persons home bills, a stark reality, as one of d users is trying to show us here !!

Let me give you example Wayne Kerr, I see Wayne Kerr always write abusive language to Indians for no reason and he will never quit that because its three years now to him doing all this.
And I see many Aus users writing bad about India including you too. What do you want to say about that. If you do not see Aus are doing it and they have started it then you are one sided double standard.

You know three years back for no reason Wayne Kerr started abusing Indians (he was upset after the Sydney Test) in Yahoo Cricket Section. In revenge some Indian users started abusing Aus and him. It was the retaliation.
What we are doing is retaliation because we did not start it. It was Wayne Kerr who started it, and what Wayne Kerr and other Aus users are doing is racial attack on Indians on the net. In retaliation some Indian users write against him and Aus. So if for you the nasty users like Wayne Kerr is the result of retaliation then to me me every Indian user who writes against Australia is in retaliation to Anti Indian post.
